Doing a bit of 8 hour music score for Fortuyn with Beau de luxe Zwart. First time working with a composer. When we started we said the score had to be ‘norm core’; good, but egoless elevator music, just as the filmplan said. But we changed our mind before one track was made. It had to be wide, spacious, with voices and referring to Händel, Purcell, a bit of Verdi Slave Choir, maybe some Air and Sebastian Tellier. I don’t know how, but Beau switched as easily as a playlist in Spotify and made from the start, eh that must have been 2021, when we were still babies, the most beautiful tracks. Now, 4 years later, these tracks still are standing solid and strong and are the core of all the new compositions. Fuck norm core (in music that is, camera still is) and salute the digital choir.
