This was our IDFA in 2018 and one of the best IDFA nights ever. We were with friends, some of them were at that time still alive, and we won the award for best Dutch documentary. The feeling of being part of a documentary community, sharing love, laughter, anxieties, and drinks, is such a big part of being a filmmaker. IDFA has always been at the heart of all this. The uncertainness for all the directors who are premiering this IDFA must be heart-wrenching. Our heart goes out to them.
